Please read both our Tip sheet and Health & Safety documents that can be found inside the kit or at the bottom of this page.
Is this kit compatible with my any potato peeler?
Yes - our potato peeler / rumbler regritting kits are compatible with any potato peeler. (Crypto, Hobart, Bold, Sammic, Titan, IMC, Price Iverson, Metcalfe, Stigwood & Son, Hopkins, Avamore, Electrolux etc.)
Do I require a Paypal account in order to pay?
No - you do not require a Paypal account in order to pay us using the Paypal button.
How long does it last?
This will depend on the amount of potatoes that are used in the peeler, as quantity of use between business' potato peelers may differ. We recommend re-gritting once a year as this helps prevent the potatoes getting bruised from over peeling and will decrease the time of the potatoes spent in the potato peeler / rumbler meaning you will save on electric and labour time of peeling. Our kits will pay for themselves many times over due to savings made over time on electric and labour time.
Can you keep any left over resin and hardener found in the
kit if all is not used?
Yes - just keep any left over resin and hardener that you may not have used in a cool and dry place (for example, inside the box, in a cupboard). This should last approximately one year depending on the temperature of the environment it is kept in.
Can you re-use any left over grit?
Yes - just remove any lumps of grit that may have resin on.
Do you know anyone that can do this re-gritting kit for me?
No - we do not provide a service of re-gritting the potato peeler for you, just the kit themselves. If you need any assistance, we can only recommend a local catering equipment repairers who may be able to help.
What is the grit made from?
We do not divulge what the grit is made of, however it is used for its hardness & strength. We have used this grit for many years and is the same grit Crypto Peerless potato peelers are manufactured from.
